Crafting up a storm.

Tea and apricot yoghurt to keep me awake in the mornings! This particular yoghurt is one my nan always used to have, and it continues to make me think of her and how she is whenever I have some.

Working on some paper-crafts + design! These are some of my map-envelopes + note cards, aswel as my 'business' cards that I have designed. Thank you to Nathanaelle and Sinead for helping me cut these out! Lydia has also been a star and lent a hand when it came to cutting things out.

Early 21st/leaving party!

Last night I celebrated a very early 21st birthday (my birthday is in May), and combined it with a chance to catch up with everyone before I depart!

We had the celebrations at Major Toms, and it was so much fun! It was also hilarious/embarrassing/emotional. *cough* Brittany *cough*.

Thank you to Donna G for taking such lovely photos, mummy, daddy and Joseph for just being amazing, and everyone who was there to help me feel super loved!!

 

I am so blessed to have the friends and family I do.

Bright Star

This poem is so beautiful. This movie is beautiful.

If you haven't seen this film, I highly recommend it. When I first watched it with Larissa, Britt and (I think) Tash or Kaitlin (?), it was Larissa's birthday, and we had the seats at the very extreme front centre of the theatre. We ended up lying on the ground because our necks became so sore from looking upwards the entire time. Everything was super disproportioned. It didn't help that the John Keats' girlfriend/fiance was called Fanny. And her sister was named/nicknamed Toots.

So if you haven't watched this, it is a true story about the poet John Keats, who died before he saw the success of his work. He died thinking he was a failure. But this film is more about the love that developed between John and Fanny, and the way in which she influenced his poetry.

Yes, this is more of a film girls will prefer, and yes, it is extremely romantic and soppy - but I have no regrets whatsoever for crying through this. None at all.

The film is as tragic as Moulin Rouge - just when things get happy between the couple, something has to give.

Moulin Rouge - no excuses. You have to watch it.

Don't even argue with me on this.

More Parachute goodness!

G'morning all!

How are you today? I am currently still in my pyjamas, debating which project to keep working on (I start many things and leave them unfinished, so that when I come back I am re-inspired).

This is where I get a lot of my inspiration from. Danni's blog is amazing.

But first, I will share with you a few more photos of what I have been working on (with help from Brittany and my mummy!)...

This is my current work-space - set up in my brother's room now that he has moved out. Don't you just love the desk?! It was my grandparents, and I was always in awe of it as a child.

More work-space... I am going to be selling some of those pin-boards you can see in the background!

Britt put the owls into this egg carton... "They look like they are in their own forest!" was one uttering we spoke. They look so cute in this!!

Yay Brittany! She is a star, and even though she wasn't feeling 100% she offered a helping hand :)

And this is the trial zip-up purse I made - it has a few faults and issues which I need to deal with before I can make another.

Last night I chatted to Larissa for ages on the phone, and we were talking about the day of departure and at the airport etc... man that girl knows how to freak me out! I'm so not looking forward to when they call me through to the departure lounge, and I have to say my final good-byes.

I am so not wearing any eye make-up for that.
